As part of Gibson Technology’s environmental sustainability programme, we have committed to planting a tree for every GK428 LMP2 engine we have built since it was first introduced.
To date, our very own Simon and Martyn have successfully planted 630 new trees in our grounds. Up until now, the Gibson team has dispatched a total of 885 GK428 LMP2 engines; by the end of 2024 we plan to have a total of 850 new trees planted, rising to 1000 in 2025.
It is estimated that over our trees first year of life they will produce an astounding 5 tonnes of oxygen and store 2 tonnes of carbon.
We wanted to share our sustainable efforts with everyone, and what better day to do that on than #EarthDay2024. 🌍
