Based at a dedicated engineering, product development and manufacturing facility, located in Repton, Derbyshire and employing over 60 staff, Gibson Technology is a world leading supplier of expertise in high performance race engines.

Clients include many leading race teams and one make series, for whom Gibson Technology delivers outstanding solutions.

Gibson Technology is widely recognised as the number one engine supplier for one make championships, having supplied Formula 3000 for nine years, A1GP for three years and was the sole engine supplier to the Formula 3.5 V8 Championships.

As a manufacturer of LMP2 engines, Gibson Technology supply all the race teams in the FIA World Endurance Championships, the European Le Mans Series, the Asian Le Mans Series, and the prestigious 24 hours of Le Mans with their GK428 engine, as well as various teams in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship.

The GL458 is the latest development from Gibson Technology, used exclusively in LMP1/Hypercar category in the FIA World Endurance Championship, including the Le Mans 24 Hour race. The GL458, based on the highly successful GK428 LMP2 engine, designed and manufactured by Gibson Technology, is the most sophisticated engine Gibson has produced to date.  It successfully powered the Rebellion R13 and Dragonspeed LMP1 and is currently competing in the 2021 WEC with Signatech Alpine Racing. The LMP1 contract has been a natural progression for Gibson’s highly motivated engineers to prove their reliability and success at the top level of endurance racing.
