The first weekend of the race season kicks of this weekend with Gibson Technology supporting teams at three separate races; the European Le Mans Series 4 Hours at Silverstone, the World Endurance Championship 6 Hours at Silverstone and the Formula V8 3.5 at Motorland, Spain.
On Sat 16th April at Silverstone G Drive Racing will compete in the opening ELMS race with the Gibson 015S chassis and Gibson-Nissan engine. Four other teams in the same LMP2 category (Panis/Barthez, Krohn, Algarve Pro, SMP x 2, Greaves) will race with engines powered by Gibson-Nissan.
Silverstone then host the first WEC 6 Hour race on Sunday 17th, with over half the LMP2 field featuring Gibson-Nissan developed engines (SMP x 2, ESM x 2, Morand, Strakka). Strakka Racing will also compete with the Gibson 015S chassis.
During the same weekend the first race of the Formula V8 3.5 Championship will take place at Motorland Aragon, Spain. The Championship features single seat race cars powered by 3.4 litre V8 race engines, all designed and developed by Gibson Technology.
