Jota Journey to Le Mans

The Journey to Le Mans is a documentary film following Great British privateer team Jota Sport as they compete in one of the most challenging motorsport races on earth.

The film made its premiere on 11th November at 70 Vue cinemas across the UK and is released on DVD on 24th November, featuring the story of how racing driver and entrepreneur Simon Dolan journeyed with his team, Jota Sport, through the highs and lows of motorsport.

Charlotte Fantelli’s directorial debut reveals the connection and triumph as Simon, along with his team-mates Oliver Turvey and Harry Tincknell – mentored by Le Mans legend Allan McNish – excel together at the 2014 Le Mans 24 Hour race. The team won the prestigious 24 hour race with their Gibson/Zytek Z11SN LMP2 car and Nissan engine developed and serviced by Gibson Technology, and the film follows the highs and lows of this great race.

Jota Sport and Gibson Technology (formerly known as Zytek) have an illustrious history together, with Jota having bought Gibson Technology’s first ever car, which they ran in 2004 & 2005 in the Le Mans Series and the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2005.

Over the years, this relationship has seen overall and class podiums in the Le Mans Series, American Le Mans Series and World Endurance Championships. After ten years working closely together Jota Sport and Gibson Technology were victorious at the famous La Sarthe Le Mans circuit in 2014, which is documented in the Journey to Le Mans.
