Gibson Technology has entered into an exclusive partnership in 2015 with Renault Sport Technologies and Nissan International Motorsport (NISMO) to provide VR38DE engines for the all new Renault Sport RS01 sportscar.
Installed in the RS01 the VR38DE competes in the Renault Sport Trophy Championship, a one-make series part of the World Series by Renault. The engine is derived from the Nissan GT-R twin turbo charged power unit and has been specifically developed for the RS01 by both Nismo and Gibson Technology. Producing over 500 BHP with a Torque output of 600 Nm, it positions the RS01 between GT3 and DTM in terms overall performance and is aimed to provide a platform for teams to progress into ELMS and WEC Championships.
