Gibson Technology is proud to be announced as Overall Business of the Year at the Burton Mail Business Awards 2018.
At a gala awards ceremony on 18th October at Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium 274 finalists, sponsors and guests gathered for an evening of celebration of local businesses throughout South Derbyshire and East Staffordshire. 
Repton based Gibson were shortlisted in two categories, ‘Best Use of Innovation & Technology’ and ‘Manufacturer of the Year’. Sponsors JCB presented Gibson as winners of the ‘Best Use of Innovation & Technology’ award, a great honour given the high standard of competition.
As finalists, Gibson were also eligible to be entered for ‘Overall Business of the Year’, the final award to be presented on the nigh
t, which they were revealed as winners.
“We are very proud to collect these awards and to be recognised amongst all the other successful local businesses,” said John Manchester, Gibson’s Operations Director. “It is testament to our workforce at Repton and all their hard work that we are able to compete for these awards. We would like to thank our staff, along with all the judges and sponsors for all their work in the lead up to the event.”
