British race engine manufacturer Gibson Technology will power a total of 28 Le Mans Prototype cars at Silverstone during this weekend. On Saturday the next round of the European Le Mans Series takes place with the 4 hours of Silverstone. The full LMP2 grid in ELMS competes with the Gibson GK428 engine, no less than an impressive 18 cars taking to the track.
Sunday then sees the much anticipated start of the FIA World Endurance Championship, another 4 hour race. All 8 LMP2 cars are again fitted with the GK428, along with 2 top level category LMP1s powered by the Gibson GL458.
