Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship is an excellent way to learn from some of the best people in the engineering industry. Joining us as an apprentice you will have the opportunity to experience many different disciplines while you are obtaining a National recognised qualification.

A small number of Apprenticeships are available each year in the Mechanical Engineering discipline.

From day one you will join a structured training programme which will give you the understanding to become the Technician or Engineer that you want to be. You will be hands on while at work and be required to attend college one day a week. Once you have completed your apprenticeship you will be given the opportunity to continue with your education and career progression within the company.

Engine Sub-Assembly Technician Apprenticeship

The apprentice will become a member of the Engine Sub-Assembly team responsible for the precision build of race engine ancillaries and assemblies. Under specialist supervision, the apprentice will learn many new and varied skills to enable him or her to gain a comprehensive understanding of the following duties:

  • Engine ancillary build
  • Teardown, clean and inspection
  • Interpreting engineering drawings
  • Compiling build documentation and records
  • Fault finding and problem solving techniques
  • Ancillary test rig preparation
  • Non-destructive component testing
